Equipment List

For the health and safety of the players, the following items are needed during CVYS practices and games. Items marked with an asterisk are required by the Lancaster County Girls Softball League (LANCO). Our league follows the USA Softball rules and regulations for youth softball unless otherwise noted in the league's bylaws.

Required Items

  • NFHS Certified bat*

  • NOCSAE Certified helmet with face guard*
  • Chinstrap for helmet*
  • Glove
  • Fielding face mask or mouth guard*
  • Game pants and socks (color TBA)
  • Practice pants and socks (color is your choice)
  • Cleats (rubber soles for 8u/10u/12u; metal cleats allowed for 14u players)

 

Optional Items

  • Batting gloves
  • Sliding shorts
  • Softball belt (color TBA)
  • Softball equipment backpack

 

CVYS will provide a jersey and practice shirt for each Spring Season player and a game t-shirt for Fall Ball players.
