SPRING 2025 8U
"The CV 8U Blue team had a fun season with 14 games and tremendous growth. Naming ourselves the “Blue Pickles”, this group of girls grew together on and off the field. The Pickles focused of fundamentals and basic skill development which improved with every practice and game. We enjoyed batting and fielding practice, base running, post game snacks, an ice cream party at Sonic, new friendships and lots of laughs! Our season ended with a 4 game, one day tournament - the girls played hard and with their whole heart. What a joy to see these athletes develop over the spring season. A special thanks to the players, parents, coaches and all our amazing supporters for making it such a great season - go CV Blue Pickles!"

SPRING 2025 10U BLUE
The 10U Blue season began with a lot of unknowns and no one would have ever dreamed how the season would actually progress. CV Blue had new coaches, new players and unlimited potential from the start. Many of our girls had never played 10U ball before and some were still eligible for 8U based on age. From the start, the older players guided them through the new rules and faster play. Along with help from numerous coaches and volunteers, the girls progressed at an incredible rate. It didn’t take long for the Blue team to become a family. Parents, fans, and other supporters became an integral part in what would be a very successful season.
CV started out strong winning their first 6 games behind strong pitching and strong defense. The girls progressively got better in each facet of the game and it was apparent early on that we had a great team. The Elizabethtown tournament was held in the middle of the season and expectations were high as we entered the tournament 6-0. The girls won the tournament going undefeated against some strong teams. Their resilience and ability to stay strong as a team was undeniable as they won some close games to include one going into extra innings. Each girl contributed in a total team effort to inevitably win the championship game 2-0. The day was long and players were exhausted but this will be an experience they will talk about for a long time.
The second half of the season created an even stronger team. Each player’s skills increased and the team ended the season undefeated, winning the South division. After winning the division, the team got a much-needed bye prior to their first playoff game. CV then won their first playoff game 9-1 in what was their most complete game of the year. Great fundamentals combined with so much talent was extremely fun to watch.
The league championship was 2 wins away but sadly; CV lost in the semi-finals in a hard-fought game. Going down 2-0 in the first inning, they battled back to tie the score but eventually fell 6-4. Emotions were high as this was the first loss they had suffered all season. Coaches, fans, and players came together one last time to celebrate what was an extremely successful season. Ending with a record of 12-0 in the regular season, 6-0 in the tournament, and 1-1 in the playoffs gave CV and overall record of 19-1 in the 2025 spring season.
There are no words that can explain how proud we are of this team. Many people claim that sports are just a game. This team proved that statement wrong in so many ways. The team, coaches, and fans became a family. The memories created during this season will live on forever in each of them.
To be a part of this team has been and honor and a privilege. Thank you, coaches, players, and fans, for everything!
Kyle
